Review by Carol for Music Pets Love: The Holiday Edition (While You Are Gone) Pet Music Rating: I thought this was interesting as I have many other CDs and DVDs for my dogs and cats, but this one had Christmas music on it. I played it and to my surprise both my dogs and my cat really showed an interest to it. They particular reacted well to the stories that would pop in every now and then. I also enjoyed it as i LOVE holiday music. Thinking about getting it for some office Christmas presents but i am happy (and my pets) so far!

A nice mix of Bradley Joseph classic Holiday arrangements and specially tailored for our deserving pets. There is no better way to show these creatures who love us unconditionally how much we care than to provide them this relaxing music while we are away. I am proud to say I have the entire "While You Are Gone" collection and I highly recommend this series to everyone.

Fisher for DVD For Dogs : While You Are Gone Rating: My Boxer, who often watches TV, was interested in only a couple of scenes of this DVD; the coyote emerging from behind a tree and accompanying taped coyote howls. I have played it several times, and each time, that's the only part that gets his attention. It seemed neither to calm nor entertain.

What does seem to get and hold his attention, however, are videos of small puppies yipping and yelping. He presses his nose to the computer screen whenever I find youTube puppy videos. For my dog, I would be better off downloading those videos to dvd to play for him.

Review by Veronica for DVD For Dogs : While You Are Gone Rating: We recently got a 8 month old beagle that is too smart for his own darn good. We decided not to cage him since he is housebroken and keeps the cats occupied. However, everyday I would come home to find something he climbed up on or got into (wicker baskets, toys, ornaments off the Christmas tree, etc). Figuring he was getting bored, I decided to buy a "dog sitter" DVD to entertain him during the long hours we were gone. I haven't had a chance to watch the DVD more than 10 minutes, and I don't know what all it shows, but it does keep him out of trouble. Whether it be the dog sounds, the pictures, or the story, whenever we pop the DVD in before heading out the door, I come home to non-puppy-destroyed house. I don't know if he actually watches it, or if the sounds are just soothing, but the DVD works versus days we just leave the TV on. It reminds me of a public access animal show, or something they would play at one of the county parks visitor centers. I would recommend it, even though it is a little costly. I especially like how it has a continuous play/loop default setting. It's even better than playing classical music! Knowing that the DVD is on is a total relief for me and that when I come home, my little guy hasn't made another mess for me to clean up.

Review by Pet Lover for DVD For Dogs : While You Are Gone Rating: I had such wonderful luck with the Music Dogs Love CD I thought I'd try their DVD version. WOW was I ever surprised! My dog hates when I go to work, but now I play the CD one day then the DVD the next, and I have seen wonderful improvement with him. Highly recommended by me and my dog.

I was more surprised that our 11 year old Great Pyrenees also likes the dvd. My wife and I are gone for work and school for many hours and anything which entertains our dogs is greatly appreciated. I would recommend that any dog owners give this dvd a try.

Review by D.L. for DVD For Dogs : While You Are Gone Rating: I put this video in when my rather large pooch was being especially hyper and decided to sit and watch to see how he reacted. At first he kind of freaked out, placing his nose directly up against the TV screen, wondering what and where those noises were coming from. After a few minutes, he stepped away a little but eyes still fixed on the screen and ears straight up listening intently. After another few minutes, he decided to lie down -- but still completely attentive - listening to the sounds and watching the imagery. He didn't make it all the way through the video before he fell asleep, but I was amazed. Not only have I never seen a dog watch television before, this video completely held his attention and calmed him down. Heck, I enjoyed watching it with him myself. I highly recommend this product and it performs as advertised.

Got the CD & DVD together. Had hoped it would help calm our puppy, Mojo, down at night so that we could sleep peacfully…and to have him not wake us up in the morning (he barks when we put him to bed and again around 6 in the morning!). Well, he didn’t much care for the DVD version but the CD was wonderful. We put it in, set it to repeat and left….and then silence…blessed silence from our puppy! He listened with rapt attention. We went to bed and slept the whole night without a single bark…got up the next morning and thought our guy had died…thats how quite he was! Now it’s a part of our regular routine. We haven’t tried the DVD again but one day we will, until then we’re sticking with the CD.

Now if only they’ll make a CD called “Music to Stop Your Dog from Chasing Your Cats!”

It is almost impossible to move around our home without Zoe nipping at your feet. And she despises being put into the crate. However, I have noticed an improvement after purchasing the music as well as the DVD...Zoe is much calmer in the crate. She used to tear it apart, now when I come home, she is usually relaxing in her crate playing with her toys. For the price, its a great investment.
